The Right to Grow Old: Honduran Displacement in Mexico

Three years since the exodus from Honduras began en masse, there are more Hondurans caught in Mexican limbo than ever before. Between the United States' increased border bluster and Mexico's anti-migrant campaign, the transit country has turned into a long haul grind. Yet still the horrors that happened on the migrant route that spread through word of mouth, are a better alternative to staying in Honduras; a country its citizens consider a death trap. This series looks at Hondurans as they walk through Mexico's southern border, risking their lives on the trains and wilderness that follows, as they brace to cross into the United States at the US-MEX border.
